What data we collect

Through the forms on this website we collect only the data you voluntarily provide:

We do not collect any special categories of data and never ask you for information we do not need.

  • Membership application form: name of the company or self-employed professional, website, contact person’s name, phone number, email address and the type of membership you are interested in.
  • Newsletter sign-up form: full name, email address and, optionally, the company.
  • Event registration forms: name, email, phone number and the data needed to organise the event.

Why we process your data

We do not use your data for any other purpose, we do not build profiles and we do not make automated decisions about you.

  • Handling your application to become a member and maintaining the membership relationship.
  • Sending you information about the Association’s activities, events and news.
  • Managing your participation in the events we organise.
  • Complying with the legal and accounting obligations that apply to the Association.
  • Finding out, in aggregate form, how the website is used so we can improve it, and how many visits (including those coming from our Google ads) end in a membership application, but only if you accept cookies.

Our legal basis for doing so

  • Your consent, when you tick the relevant box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • The performance of the membership relationship, once you are a member.
  • Compliance with legal obligations that apply to the Association.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your relationship with the Association lasts or until you ask us to delete it. Once the relationship has ended, we keep it blocked for the legal limitation periods and then delete it.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or pass on your data to third parties for commercial purposes. Ever.

Only the service providers that work for us and have signed the corresponding data processing agreement have access to it:

  • CDmon (CDMON GLOBAL, S.L.U., Spain) — hosting of the website and the email service.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., United States) — sending the newsletter.
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland) — handling payment of the premium membership fee.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) — website visit statistics and measurement of the membership applications that come from our Google Ads campaigns, only if you accept cookies.

Cookies and web analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to find out, in aggregate form, how many people visit it and which pages they view. It is only activated if you accept it in the cookie banner: if you do not, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookie is stored.

If you accept, Google Analytics also counts how many visits end with a membership application being sent and which type of membership was chosen, so we know which channels bring us members, and Google Ads counts the membership applications sent, to measure the ads we run. They only receive the address of the thank-you page (for example, /en/become-a-member/thank-you/?form=alta&tipus=soci), never any data you type into the form. To know which ad each application comes from, Google Ads stores in your browser the measurement cookies listed in the table below. We do not use them to show you personalised ads or to show you ads again on other websites.

The legal basis is your consent, which you can give separately for analytics and for ad measurement with the “Configure” button in the banner. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer: when you do, we stop using Google Analytics and Google Ads and delete their cookies.

Google Analytics and Google Ads are provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.

Your choice (accept or reject) is stored in your own browser for one year, so we do not ask you again on every page. It is not sent anywhere and it is not a cookie.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability over your data at any time, and withdraw any consent you have given us.

To do so, write to us at info@catalunyamobile.cat stating which right you wish to exercise. We will reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
