Catalunya Mobile Awards Gala 2025

On Friday 27 February, CaixaBank’s DayOne space hosted the Catalunya Mobile Awards 2025.

At the Catalunya Mobile Association we continue to work to strengthen the Catalan digital ecosystem and raise its international profile. With more than 60 member companies, the organisation has established itself as the leading business association for the mobile sector in Catalonia, with the aim of positioning the country as a global hub for technological innovation.

A day of inspiration and vision for the future

During the event, the association’s president, Roger Vilanou, reviewed the organisation’s progress and the challenges it faces, highlighting the importance of business collaboration, constant innovation and the creation of opportunities within the sector.

The day also featured two talks that offered food for thought and inspiration.

Efrén García presented his book Nexe Mastermind: el poder del pensament col·lectiu, focusing on the strength of shared intelligence and the need for business owners to build networks in order to grow sustainably.

Afterwards, Roger Pastor gave a talk based on his book Pon un Beatle en tu empresa, drawing a parallel between the career of The Beatles and business leadership. Among the key ideas, he stressed the importance of surrounding yourself with talent, innovating constantly, leading with vision and learning from mistakes in order to build solid, distinctive projects.

The most eagerly awaited moment: the awards ceremony

After a networking session for professionals from the sector, the awards were presented. The jury was made up of experts from different fields:

Marta Maxé Navarro – Director of Aspasia Catalunya Jury member for the “Best Education App” category
Josep Guasch– President of the Associació de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya (ASCICAT) Jury member for the “Best Security App” category
Jordi Aguasca– President of SINERGIA Jury member for the “Best Business App” category
Pere Vilà– Cluster Manager of INDESCAT Jury member for the “Best Sports App” category
Roger Serra – Director General for Language Policy in the Technological and Audiovisual Fields at the Generalitat de Catalunya Jury member for the “Best App in Catalan” category
Carme Pratdepàdua – Head of the mHealth.cat Office at the Fundació TicSalut Jury member for the “Best Health App” category
Ramon Gallart – Board member of the Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya
Jury member for the “Best Utilities App” category

This year’s winning projects were:

Best Health App: MJN-Seras – David Blánquez

Best Utilities App: Trocalia – Albert Bou Pinar

Best Business App: Digipal app – Katherine Diaz

Best App in Catalan: CookNest – Carles Encina

Best Education App: Edubook – Ferran Falguera

Best Sports App: Baqueira – Ferran Falguera

Best Security App: Co-resol and b-resol – Luis Ribó

And the best app of 2025 went to… MJN-SERAS!

Each of these projects reflects the level of innovation, specialisation and technological capability we have in Catalonia.
