ACA Beers – April Edition

ACA Beers – April Edition

Sign up for the next ACA Beers, organised by the Catalunya Apps Association, on Wednesday 6 April: top guests and your first beer on us!

After the success of the first ACA Beers of 2016 with the inspiring Elixir Carrasco and Júlia Bacaria’s advice on privacy, here comes a new edition with more speakers, more networking and more news about apps in Catalunya.

Whether you are a member of the Catalunya Apps Association or would like to join the leading mobile sector association in Catalunya, drop by and meet us informally. Here is all the information:

Where: l’Actiu, Llacuna 162, Barcelona

When: Wednesday 6 April at 6:30 pm (approximately 1 hour)

We will be joined by 2 guests who will help us tackle some everyday problems from a more professional perspective.

Joan Traver of MOCA Platform

Joan Traver, from MOCA Platform, will talk to us about location-based proximity marketing. It is now possible to interact with your users not only through messages but with rich, hyper-segmented push notifications that let you reach each and every one of your mobile customers with the right message, at the right time and in the right place. But are we making the most of it? He will tell us how you can use MOCA to increase your revenue with contextualised mobile advertising.

Joan Traver has a degree in Marketing and International Trade. Passionate about sales, he has almost always worked in leading multinationals such as Fujitsu and Salesforce.com, and has now decided to swap that world for the start-up world, managing major accounts worldwide. He loves sport and, of course, food; getting together with friends around the table to chat and debate is his greatest passion.

Xavier Mier of Bufete Suárez de Vivero

With Xavier Mier, from the law firm Bufete Suárez de Vivero, we will analyse from a practical angle the most common problems and conflicts arising from employees’ use of IT resources during working hours, and why companies would be well advised to put in place so-called IT usage protocols to regulate it.

He has been an employment lawyer for 6 years, specialising in litigation, restructuring and collective bargaining. His clients include Spanish companies from all fields of activity, although he mainly advises business owners in the new technologies, metal and textile retail sectors. He is also a lecturer at business schools and professional associations.
