We attended Barcelona Activa’s “New Models of IT Talent Generation”

Today Roger Pastor, Vice President of Catalunya Apps, took part in the event “New Models of IT Talent Generation”, organised by Barcelona Activa, speaking on behalf of all our members about the difficulty our companies face in finding the right profiles.

The round table, moderated by Jaume Baró of Barcelona Activa, also featured other players from the sector, such as Francesc Sistach of Specialisterne Spain, Sebastian Barajas of Ubiqum, Lourdes Muñoz of the Barcelona Open Data Initiative and Marga Bonmatí of the ICT Area at the UPC.

There was a good turnout, and topics of particular interest to us were discussed, such as the low number of women in the ICT sector and which training models are the most suitable for entering the labour market with good prospects.
